Wrongful death: Neil Armstrong's family awarded $6 million

Even in the presence of a major illness, families in Illinois and elsewhere may find that dealing with the sudden loss of a loved one can be a stressful and harrowing experience. When this comes as the result of another party's negligent actions, the loss could prove all the more difficult to accept. It only recently became public knowledge that Neil Armstrong's family was awarded a substantial settlement after filing a wrongful death claim following the untimely passing of the first man on the moon.

Kids in Illinois who suffer a brain injury at birth due to the negligent actions of a medical professional may face a variety of challenges throughout the remainder of life. A woman and her daughter were recently awarded a substantial monetary judgment in a medical malpractice claim after the actions of her doctors left the child with permanent brain damage.
